The experience of knowing the Abba and his heart for us in Christ Jesus is never a single experience or even a series of experiences. It’s a constant journey that unfolds over a lifetime and carries on onto eternity.

The God Who Answers Prayer

By Emma Thompson-Mensah

During the prayer sessions for the conference, one specific thing I asked of the Lord was that He will cause Dave and Judith to see Christ in our Church through the hospitality that we will give to them. I told God I wanted them to talk about it before they leave. I was humbled when on Sunday evening Judith spoke of her experience in our home, that is in our church and all that she sees in store for us. At that moment, I knew God heard every single prayer for this conference. May His name be praised!

After the conference, one sweet lady I have come to admire in our church family asked if I was given any word of knowledge from Judith’s team and I told her I did not receive any. Actually, prior to the conference, I had told God that I am expecting Him to give me a specific word like others have been receiving but that did not happen. When the lady asked me this, I went back to God to find out what specifically He gave me.

I must say, I was so blessed from the conference that I did not even notice I did not receive that specific word of knowledge I had asked for. Since I went to God to ask Him about my word of knowledge, I have been experiencing a peace, joy and sweetness in my heart that I have never experienced in my life. I did experience a peace from God when He healed me during the Longest 18 Inches sermon series, but this is so different. This peace envelopes me to an extent that is extraordinary.

I am not able to find the appropriate words to explain that feeling. It is so serene, so pure, so sweet that each time I begin experiencing it, I try to search my mind if I have received any good news from somewhere or if something good has happenend to me. This is what I received from God during the conference. I am so happy. I will not trade this with any word of knowledge. It is so beautiful. God is good. He knew what I needed and He gave that to me.
